Overview
The Rural Connectivity Programme coordinates infrastructure investment with mobile network operators and CRAN to close coverage gaps in rural Namibia. Community nominations are received through the Regional Governor's Office and prioritised based on population, existing coverage, and access to essential services.
Eligibility
- Nominations submitted by traditional authorities, councillors, or community groups
- Locality currently has no or intermittent mobile coverage
- Population of at least 200 residents within a 5km radius
How to apply
- Submit a written nomination through your Regional Governor's Office
- Include GPS coordinates of the proposed tower site, if known
- Attach letters of support from the traditional authority or regional council
- Nominations are reviewed quarterly
