Frequently asked questions

Quick answers for applicants and visitors. For anything not covered here, contact your nearest Regional Governor's Office.

What is the Namibia Youth Development Fund?

The NYDF is a national fund supporting youth-owned enterprises with loans and grants, administered by four implementing agencies. The Regional Governor's Office is one of four official intake points for applications.

Who is eligible to apply for NYDF funding?

Namibian citizens aged 18 to 35 who own or are starting a business in Namibia. Exact eligibility varies by funding tier — see the programme guidelines in Publications.

How long does the review process take?

Applications are typically triaged within 14 days of submission. Once forwarded to an implementing agency (DBN, EIF, or Agribank), their own assessment timelines apply — usually 4 to 8 weeks.

Can I edit or withdraw a submitted application?

Once submitted, an application cannot be edited through the site. To correct information or withdraw an application, contact your Regional Governor's Office and reference your application code (format NYDF-YYYY-XXXXXX).

I started a draft but lost my place. Can I recover it?

Drafts are tied to the browser session on the device you started with. Return to the application page from the same device and you'll be offered a resume option. Drafts not submitted within 90 days are purged.

What if my region's office is far from where I live?

The full NYDF intake can be completed online through this portal. You can also submit directly to DBN, EIF, or Agribank — they accept applications independently.

Is my information kept private?

Yes — see the Privacy Notice for details on what we collect, who we share it with, and your rights.

I need to report fraud or misconduct. How?

Use the report fraud form. Reports may be submitted anonymously.
